To New and Renewing Members for 2012

If you're considering joining the University Golf Club of Santa Clara as a new member, welcome to a fun group---men and women who enjoy getting together to play golf!

This letter also serves as our annual renewal letter--it's time to renew and all renewal forms with dues must be received by December 20th.

A member application is attached. You can also go to our website, www.universitygolfsc.com and click on membership to download the application.

We schedule 12 outstanding tournament courses a year in advance, which allows you to plan ahead and attend many of these events. This is a great opportunity to play courses you may have heard about and never played, or return to old favorites. The entire calendar is posted on the web early in the year. Some of the courses we have already booked for 2012 include Monterey Pines, Pacific Grove and Poppy Hills.

In order to take full advantage of the Club, please be aware of the following:

1. Club communication is electronic and includes emails of tournament announcements and a quarterly newsletter recapping the latest winners and other Club news. The Club website provides details of coming events, past tournament results, sigh-up sheets and course links and other interesting information. Go to www.universitygolfsc.com.
2. Prizes are awarded at each event.
3. In addition, many of the tournament winners are eligible to participate in area NCGA tournaments.
4. This year the NCGA is sponsoring four events which allow participants from Associate Clubs to qualify to play. The 2012 Player of the Year, along with winners from the January, February and March events will qualify for the ASSOCIATE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. The top finishers from our May & June events will have an opportunity to play in the 4 BALL EVENT.

If you know other golfers, please recommend our fun golf group to others. To ensure the health and vitality of our group and outings, it is extremely important that we grow our Club and increase participation at monthly events. We also encourage guests at our events, so feel free to invite your friends.
